Saral Kha: There is a legend in history that during the reign of 12 Bhuiyan in the eighteenth century, a famous landlord named Saral Khan lived in Paikgacha. Saral Bandikati village bears his memory. There is a big pond here known as Saral’s Pond. The Saral’s  pond is on 16 bigha land. The landlord Saral Khan was a man of stubborn nature. When this powerful landlord went to Jessore for the last time to file a lawsuit, he told his family that if he lost the case, he would not return home. His pet pigeon would bear witness to this. It was a matter of joy that Saral Khan won the case. As he was overjoyed, the pigeon got out of his hand and returned home. Seeing the pigeon, Saral Khan’s wife thought  that her husband has lost in the case and her beloved husband would never return home. Whatwas the benefit of living if her husband did not return home losing everything. She sacrificed everything of the family in the pond and committed suicide. Meanwhile Saral Khan came back home and saw that all are lost. Burning with self pity for his mistake, he jumped into the pond.  It is known that the local people used to see golden boat, plate etc. floating from time to time. One day a golden plate floated and someone went to steal it. Since then, no one has seen any golden boat or plate to float. There are many such miraculous stories about the pond of Saral Khan in the kingdom of white gold.

On the other hand, it is thought that Saral Khan was one of the disciples of Khan Jahan Ali. Saral Khan dug it with his team to alleviate the crisis of water of the people of this region. Since then it is known as Saral Khan’S Dighi. The main reason of considering him to be a disciple of Khanjahan is that we find khan in the last part of the names of his disciples. Such as  Buru Khan, Murad Khan, Saral Khan etc.
